Review summary

Gleneagles Townhouse is situated in a prime location, just a short walk from Waverley Station and St Andrew's Square. Guests frequently praise the delicious, made-to-order breakfast served in The Spence restaurant, particularly the halal options. The spacious bathrooms with super showers are a recurring highlight, though some guests have noted the design of these bathrooms, with amenities sometimes placed in the bedroom, can be unusual. The rooftop bar is a popular spot, and the afternoon tea in The Spence is frequently described as a fabulous treat, featuring elegant gold tea sets and delicious delicacies such as the smoked salmon croissants.

The staff was lovely. The shower was amazing.
I found the breakfast very disappointing. the full cooked breakfast was crammed onto a plate that was far too small. the potato scone was clearly not freshly cooked as it was hard and crispy. I expected better quality.
